Privacy Policy

Orcard (“we”, “us”) provides a dating app and the site at orcard.dating. This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and how you can delete it.

Information we collect

You give us this information when you create and use an account:

• Account. Sign in with Apple shares your name, email (which may be Apple’s private relay address), and an account identifier.
• Profile. Age, occupation, city and state, up to three photos, and an optional Instagram username.
• Dating activity. Card decks you choose, cards you swipe, likes, chip balances, bets, and matches.
• Location. If you allow location, your device provides a reading that we use only to fill in a city and state, such as “Redmond WA”. We store that label on your profile. We do not keep a history of where you go.
• Notifications. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can alert you about matches, likes, and messages.
• Personality description. We send your account identifier to our server so it can write a short description from the cards on your profile.
• Purchases. If you buy something in the app, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your card number. We may receive a record that you bought access, so we can unlock it.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• Create your account and show your profile to other people on Orcard.
• Run decks, swipes, chips, bets, and matches.
• Send the notifications you allow.
• Verify an Instagram username against the public profile for that name.
• Keep the app and site working and secure.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Who receives information

Other Orcard users can see the profile, photos, city and state, and dating activity you choose to show them. These companies process information only to provide their part of Orcard, and they must protect it to the standard described in this policy:

• Supabase stores accounts, profiles, photos, matches, chips, and notification tokens.
• Apple provides Sign in with Apple, delivers push notifications, and processes any App Store purchase.
• Instagram serves the public profile page for a username you choose to verify.
• Render hosts the server that writes personality descriptions.

We also share information when the law requires it.

How long we keep information

We keep your account and the information tied to it while the account is open. After you ask us to delete it, we remove it from the systems we use to run Orcard. Copies in routine backups go away when those backups expire.

Your choices

• Location and notifications can be turned off in the iOS Settings app. Notifications can also be turned off in Orcard’s settings.
• You can remove your Instagram username from your profile.
• To delete your account and the information tied to it, email support@orcard.dating from the address on the account. We will delete the account. You can also ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it.

Children

Orcard is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has an account, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. The new policy applies from that date.
